Why we created the Hydra Curl Styler

To give you more, so you can do less. We wanted a product that offers deep moisture and generous hold—something that shapes, structures, and sculpts curls with ease. We dreamed of a styler that melts like butter but works like magic.

So, we hit the lab. Voilà! Hydra Curl Styler was born—a rich formula that hydrates, detangles, and defines each strand, then forms a lightweight, flexible cast to keep your curls looking their best. It's all about moisture, strength, and flexibility.

2012 - 2014

Our founder, Zarah, began her own natural hair journey, navigating the process as she transitioned from relaxed hair back to her natural texture.

2015

Embrace Your Frizzique was founded by Zarah to share valuable tips and insights with her community.

2016 - 2017

Embrace Your Frizzique (EYF) found its voice through social media content (hello YouTube!), organised workshops, brand collaborations and community events.

2018

Embrace Your Frizzique developed its first product, the Frizz Soufflé—a nourishing formula designed for curly and afro hair. Featuring Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Rose Geranium. The product was a hit and sold out almost immediately.

2019 - 2020

Embrace Your Frizzique continues to gain momentum and focuses on community building, hosting events and collaborating with household name brands like Converse, all while expanding its expertise in curly and afro hair care

2021 - 2023

Zarah relocates to Sydney, NSW, to continue her training and education as a qualified hairstylist specialising in curly hair. During this time, the first stages of product development begin, leading to the creation of the Hydra Curl Styler.

2024

Embrace Your Frizzique Launches it's first offical product The Hydra Curl Styler through the backing of a crowdfunding campaign, resilience and hard work.

Meet the Founder

Hi there! I'm Zarah, and I started Embrace Your Frizzique back in 2015 because of my own curly hair journey—a roller coaster of trial and error that sparked a need for real change.
‍
Like so many of us, I was using products that mislabeled my hair and made me feel like I had to settle for less. It was frustrating and disempowering. I couldn’t find the representation that I needed as a young person. Tired of the lack of inclusive hair care options in Australia, I decided to take things into my own hands. By 2018, I was crafting my own products and organising meet-ups for others going through the same struggles. Together, we built a space to share stories, tips and connect with others going through similar experiences.

What began as frustration has blossomed into a beautiful community where we celebrate every curl and coil, embracing both the good and not-so-good hair days. NOW - I’m here to help you transform your self-care routine and bring joy to your wash day, no matter where you are on your journey—this space has always been for you.
